Eclipse Books does welcome works by indie authors and is happy to be approached for stocking books on a consignment basis. Eclipse Books has a formal agreement that all authors are asked to sign before supply. The agreement follows the following:

• The commission is set at 50% of the retail price set by the author.
• Sale. The Business shall offer each work for sale at no less than the Author’s fee.
• Payment. The Business shall send to the Author the agreed proceeds of each work less the stated commission, within a reasonable time after sale.
• Delivery of works to the business and returns to the author are the responsibility of the author. 
• Returns. 
  1. The Business shall return all unsold stock upon the Author’s written request. Stock will immediately be removed from Sale and Returns must be collected by the Author within a reasonable time after issuing the request.
  2. The Author shall collect all unsold stock upon the Business’s written request, or after a period of 6 months in stock. Stock will immediately be removed from Sale and Returns must be collected by the Author within a reasonable time after being notified by the Business.
• Damages. If a work is lost, damaged or destroyed during the currency of this agreement, the Business shall notify the Author immediately and shall be liable to pay him/her the stated retail price less the stated commission.
• Use of AI is strictly prohibited in either text or image creation. If a work is suspected to have been generated with AI it will be removed from sale and returned at the author’s expense. Decisions on suspected AI use by the business are final.
